Story Behind the Painting

Window of Opportunity (Graduate)

This painting was inspired by a rugged 4-wheel drive trip that we took near Ouray, Colorado. The old ghost town of Animas Forks had a few buildings that were being restored. One house, built by William Duncan, had a beautiful bay window. A rare site indeed for a ghost town! We got to view this famous bay window from the inside. The home was bought by Tom Walsh who discovered the famous Campbird Mine. His daughter, Evelyn Walsh McLean, once owned the Hope Diamond. The view from this window is majestic, unveiling a high valley surrounded by towering mountain peaks.

Congratulations to you graduate! As you look to the future, consider it as a window of opportunity. You did a great deal of hard work to get to this day. But all the study in the world cannot compare to the wisdom that comes from the Word of God. In all your study of knowledge make sure you get wisdom too. Choose your use of time wisely.
